What we collect
Account data (name, email), basic usage analytics (pages, feature engagement), and content you submit in the product. We avoid collecting sensitive or unnecessary data.
When you start a trial or subscription we also receive a tokenised payment-card identifier from our payment processor, Paystack — see Payment data below for what that means in practice.
How we use data
To provide and improve the service, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, personalize guidance, and process the trial and subscription billing you've agreed to. We never sell personal data.
Payment data
Card payments are processed entirely by Paystack, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. Your full card number, CVV and expiry never touch TheraGen's servers — they are entered directly into Paystack's hosted form and held by Paystack.
What we do store on our side is limited to: an opaque authorisation token Paystack returns to us (so we can trigger the trial-end charge and future renewals you've agreed to), the card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), the last 4 digits of the card, and its expiry month/year. These are kept for as long as you have an active subscription and for one year after closure for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes, then deleted.
Legal bases
Consent (for analytics/communications), contract (to deliver the service and to bill the subscription you've agreed to), and legitimate interests (security, product integrity, fraud prevention).
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it. Billing records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (typically 5–7 years).
Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, and regular reviews. Report issues to security@theragen.app.
Your choices
- Cookie preferences (open from the Home page or your browser settings)
- Opt-out of marketing emails in-message
- Cancel your trial or subscription at any time from your account settings — this stops future charges and, for trial cancellations made before day 3 ends, prevents any charge at all
- Request access/correction/deletion via privacy@theragen.app
Subprocessors
We use vendors for hosting, email, analytics, and payments. The payment processor is Paystack. A current list of all subprocessors is available on request.
